Have you been to Outback Steakhouse lately? If not, now is the time to make a visit because the Moonshine BBQ menu is only available until July 8Â ... and it's out-of-this-world delicious!
My husband, Rick, and I had our own happy hour at Outback Steakhouse last month and sampled many of the Moonshine BBQ offerings, including the Moonshine BBQ Wood-Fire Grilled Wings, Moonshine BBQ Ribs and each of the Moonshine cocktails (Sooooo goood!). All of the new Moonshine menu items are made with real moonshine, giving them a bold and unique flavor that's hard to resist!
Unlike my husband, I'm not a huge fan of BBQ, so I assumed I was going to order the Sirloin with Moonshine BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp — but as soon as our appetizer of Moonshine BBQ Wood-Fire Grilled Wings hit the table, I knew it was on!
I LOVED the slightly sweet and smokey flavor of the wings and I went ahead and ordered the Moonshine BBQ Combo Platter with Moonshine BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, ⅓ rack of Moonshine BBQ Ribs, and a Signature Sirloin (Grilled Chicken on the Barbie is also an option).
Rick ordered the Double Moonshine Burger because, quite frankly, it looked amazing ... and it did not disappoint! If you're a fan of the Bloomin' Burger, this one is even better with TWO beef patties, American cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise, fried onions and Moonshine BBQ sauce on a grilled brioche bun. YUM!
We washed all of our food down with each of the three new Moonshine cocktails: Huckleberry Hooch, Watermelon Hunch Punch, and Just Peaches. My favorite was the Huckleberry Hooch made with Ole Smokey Blackberry Moonshine, seasonal berries, orange juice, pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Rick was a big fan of Just Peaches, which has Georgia Moon Peach Moonshine with Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, peach purée, apple juice and orange juice. The drinks were a perfect compliment to our meal.
Finally, even though we were stuffed, we somehow made room for a few bites of Skillet Apple Pie. I can't even tell you how good this dessert it, you'll just have to trust me and try it for yourself. The flaky crust with a cinnamon, sugar and oatmeal crumble is divine.
To spread the Moonshine spirit, Outback is making it easy to get yer ‘shine on with the Moonshine Name Generator at Outback.com/Name. My rebel name is Stella "See 7 Stars" — what's yours?
