I have always been attracted to makeup, skincare and beauty products, though my stash has significantly diminished as I've gotten older. Instead of 50 eye shadows, I've cut back to 2 or 3 that I love — the same has gone for the number of products I put on my skin.
I had been wanting to try a natural skincare routine for awhile, partly because of the simplicity of it, and partly because I've heard about all the amazing benefits of skin oils, like Argan. Last month I made a large order on Vitacost (seriously, one of my favorite online merchants) for some healthy products for my skin, hair and body, and after using them for a few weeks, I can honestly say I have found my perfect skincare routine. I don't think I will ever go back to expensive department store products again.
Here are 3 of my must-have products for a natural beauty routine — that works!
Step 1: Clean face with Desert Essence Natural Tea Tree Oil Facial Cleansing Pads ($3.53)
Step 2: Spritz face with Andalou Naturals Illuminating Toner ($8.69)
Step 3: Apply a few drops of Glonaturals Organic Argan Oil into skin ($12.71 for 2 0z!)
That's it! I repeat this process both day and night. When I take a shower I use my Clarisonic with Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash and then start with Step 2 when I get out of the shower. The cleansing pads are truly a holy grail beauty product. I've got my husband using them and we both agree that they leave your face completely clean and fresh. The toner is an essential because it balances the PH of your skin, and provides a smooth surface for applying your oil in Step 3. I also love how fresh my skin feels after using this toner. Finally, Argan oil is as amazing as all the claims. I have incredibly dry skin and need to apply moisturizer throughout the day— even though this is product is 100% oil, it's very light and absorbs completely into my skin without being greasy. For once in my life, my skin GLOWS! The whole routine is incredible and costs just a fraction of what I paid for one skincare product in the past.
If you're interested in trying any of these products, I highly recommend going through Vitacost— the prices are far less than what you would pay in Whole Foods or another natural store. Plus, when you use this {referral} link, you'll save $10 on your first purchase!

These each sound really beneficial, especially since I also have extremely dry skin. My best friend swears by an all natural black soap.

You know, I really need to take a look and see just how natural the products I'm using are. This has me wondering...
