Never trust a 4 year old with scissors

It finally happened. My daughter cut her own hair.

My heart about skipped a beat when I saw the chunck of hair on the floor.

It is my fault because I trusted my 4 year old daughter with scissors. They are kid scissors even.

She is allowed to cut shapes out of paper as she does at school. I was on the phone with my mother walking around the house, when I re-entered the room I saw the big chunk of hair right there on the tile.

She didn't even try to hide it. Apparently she wanted bangs.

I am thankful it was not a lot worse...

Needless to say, no more scissors for 4 year old.

I am so sorry. It happened to me too. Apparently you also can't trust that a 7 year old understands the phrase "put these up out of your sisters reach". My son left his school box down and my 22 month old cut herself some bangs too.
