My laundry routine with the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer is vastly different from my previous set. I used to hate doing laundry, and admittedly, I probably wasn't keeping up with the proper maintenance that's required for optimal performance-- though, there's no excuse for a washer and dryer that puts holes in clothing!
Since receiving my Bravos washer and dryer from Maytag, I've learned that there's a science to laundry.
The Maytag Bravos washer and dryer makes laundry easier, allowing clothing to stay in tip-top shape because of features like PowerSpray Technology and the Auto Refresh cycle. With PowerSpray Technology, a mixture of water and detergent is sprayed directly onto clothes to instantly start cleaning soils and stains-- ensuring even detergent distribution for enhanced cleaning performance. The Auto Refresh cycle keeps clothing fibers from breaking down due to excessive heat from the dryer. The cycle uses steam to relax and refresh clothing. Even with all the great features on the Maytag Bravos duo (and I truly love them all!), there are guidelines that should be followed to maintain performance.
Laundry Care Tips
- Use the correct amount of detergent for each load - I am totally guilty of this. The amount of laundry detergent needed for a regular size load is much smaller than most think. Look on the side of the bottle for guidance, and fill the cup only to the line indicated. Regular size loads should only be filled to line 1 or 2. Using too much detergent can make clothes stiff, plus is wastes a ton of money... detergent is expensive!
- Use the proper cycle - Pay attention to what cycle the washer/dryer is on. My husband can be rather absent-minded and will just fill the tub with clothing and push start, not paying attention to the setting. If the wrong setting is used, clothes are more likely to wear down and fade-- some garments could even be ruined.
- Keep up-to-date with maintenance - Just like you depend on your car, depend on appliances. A car needs an oil change, appliances require regular maintenance such as cleaning the washer and emptying the lint filter on the dryer after each load. The vent should be cleaned every couple of months.
