The Disney Dream countdown is on, and we're about a week away from heading to Orlando to begin the festivities for the Christening cruise. The more info I hear about the Dream, the more excited I get. I'm trying to map out all the topics I want to cover as my time on board will be limited. My focus will be to bring you as much family fun as I can fit on a 2-day cruise.
Here are just a few of the things I'm most looking forward to on the Disney Dream:
AquaDuck Water Coaster

Disney Cruise Line introduces a cruise industry innovation on the Disney Dream with the debut of AquaDuck, the first-ever shipboard water coaster. Guests aboard the new Disney Dream can get swept away on the exhilarating high-speed flume ride which features twists, turns, drops, acceleration and river rapids. Stretching 765 feet in length and spanning four decks in height, AquaDuck uses powerful water blasters to propel guests around the perimeter of the ship’s top deck.
Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean, Club Pirate & “Buccaneer Blast!”

The evening starts with “Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean,” an interactive show featuring Disney characters. Then, Captain Jack Sparrow unleashes “Club Pirate,” a high-tech, open-air dance party. The night ends with “Buccaneer Blast!”, a new pyrotechnic spectacular featuring more fireworks than ever before synchronized to a dramatic musical score.
Enchanted Garden Restaurant

Enchanted Garden on the Disney Dream is a whimsical, casual restaurant inspired by French gardens and featuring a dining environment that transforms from day to night. Custom glass “flower” light fixtures, ornamental light posts and a charming terrace fountain add enchantment to the room. At the fountain’s pinnacle stands a fanciful cherub Mickey Mouse statue.
Disney's Oceaneer Club - Pixie Hollow

In Pixie Hollow on the Disney Dream, children are transported to the enchanted land of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends. A pixie tree stands in the room with hundreds of fairy lights twinkling among the leaves. In this magical forest setting, children can make crafts just like a true tinker fairy, while sitting on stools shaped like acorns and mushrooms. Other activities in Pixie Hollow include dressing up in fanciful costumes and participating in storytelling.
Disney's Believe Stage Show

“Disney’s Believe” is an original stage spectacular premiering aboard the Disney Dream. Combining a heartfelt story with a captivating musical score, the lavish production tells the story of a workaholic father who, through the power of Disney magic, reconnects with his daughter and learns a valuable lesson about what is important in life.
Magical Porthole

A cruise industry-first for all inside staterooms on the Disney Dream, Magical Portholes offer a “window” to the world with a real-time view outside the ship. High-definition cameras placed on the exterior of the ship feed live video to each Magical Porthole. As guests are observing the outside views, entertaining animated characters may pop by their porthole such as Peach the starfish from the Disney-Pixar film “Finding Nemo,” the flying balloon house from “UP” or even Mickey Mouse.
Is there anything specific you would like me to check out while I'm on the Disney Dream?

Oh this looks so amazing. I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on the trip. We are wanting to take a family cruise since we all have never been on one and I think this could just be the one for the girls ages. So exciting Stef!!

HOw absolutly Disney! It's dreamy. I could never imagine being able to afford to take my family on such a "pinch me I'm dreaming" trip . I'll live through your pictures ...DO it all!!
Tammy
The interactive art 🙂
It's exciting to see they've added a new stage show and that they're giving the "Pirates IN the Caribbean" Deck Party a face lift. When you're a repeat cruiser, while the familiarity of the ship is nice, it's also nice to get some new entertainment. I was disappointed they took out The Golden Mickeys and replaced it with Villains Tonight.
