Aches, fever, sore throat, stuffy head, and cough -- we've all been there. As moms, it's essential to take care of ourselves because, the reality is, we can't take a sick day. I know when cold and flu symptoms strike, the first thing I take is Vicks DayQuil and/or NyQuil.
Vicks DayQuil is perfect for daytime use because the non-drowsy formula is easy to take (love the gelcaps!) and reduces fever, minor aches and pains, cough and helps clear nasal congestion.
Vicks NyQuil is super effective when you need a good night's rest and relief from cough, sneezing and runny nose - the worst of the bunch!
I've found that no other over-the-counter medication comes close to the combination of DayQuil and NyQuil for treating the symptoms of cold and flu -- and I'm not the only one; Vicks is the #1 pharmacist recommended brand for adult cough, cold and flu relief.
Because I'm a stay at home mom, I have a lot of daily tasks that can't be ignored -- taking a day off from being a mom is out of the question, so I do everything I can to prevent getting sick. Here are a few ways I take care of myself:
- Eat whole foods as much as possible (green leafy veggies, fruits, nothing processed)
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
- Wash hands with Hibiclens -- especially before going out for the day
- Take a daily vitamin
- Exercise
- Get a full night's sleep
- Stay on a schedule
What things do you do to keep from getting sick & do you use DayQuil/NyQuil?
