Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil – Because Moms Can’t Take Sick Days

Aches, fever, sore throat, stuffy head, and cough — we’ve all been there. As moms, it’s essential to take care of ourselves because, the reality is, we can’t take a sick day. I know when cold and fluร‚ย symptomsร‚ย strike, the first thing I take is Vicks DayQuil and/or NyQuil.

Vicks DayQuil is perfect for daytime use because the non-drowsy formula is easy to take (love the gelcaps!) and reduces fever, minor aches and pains, cough and helps clear nasal congestion.

Vicks NyQuil is super effective when you need a good night’s rest and relief from cough, sneezing and runny nose – the worst of the bunch!

I’ve found that no other over-the-counter medication comes close to the combination of DayQuil and NyQuil for treating theร‚ย symptomsร‚ย of cold and flu — and I’m not the only one; Vicks is theร‚ย #1 pharmacist recommended brand for adult cough, cold and flu relief.

Because I’m a stay at home mom, I have a lot of daily tasks that can’t be ignored — taking a day off from being a mom is out of the question, so I doร‚ย everythingร‚ย I can to prevent getting sick. Here are a few ways I take care of myself:

  • Eat whole foods as much as possible (green leafy veggies, fruits, nothing processed)
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
  • Wash hands with Hibiclens –ร‚ย especiallyร‚ย before going out for the day
  • Take a daily vitamin
  • Exercise
  • Get a full night’s sleep
  • Stay on a schedule

What things do you do to keep from getting sick & do you use DayQuil/NyQuil?

*Rememberร‚ย before trying any new medication make sure to check with your doctor & ร‚ย follow the proper recommended course of treatment.ร‚ย DayQuil & Nyquil is not recommended for children younger than 12. Please be sure to consult your physician before giving DayQuil & NyQuil to children.ร‚ย When using DayQuil/NyQuil, be sure to follow the usage guidelines for warnings and dosage directions or visit http://www.vicks.com for more information.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. All opinions are my own.
