First of all, do you know how hard it is to take pictues of a cat? I ran around the house for 30 minutes just to get a few fuzzy shots.
Hopefully you get the idea, our cat is suddenly missing a ton of fur around her body.
She is an indoor cat only, has never been outside. No fleas that I can see and nothing has really changed.
Literally overnight she is missing hunks of fur. Take a look...
What do you think? Allergies? I haven't noticed her scratching excessively. I am hoping it's nothing too serious.

That's really strange. My first guess might be an allergy to something. Did you sprinkle any of those carpet cleaners on your carpet maybe? I know some cats pull at their fur when they're stressed or nervous. In any case, I'd get her checked out.
On another note...I think I have your cats twin sister!-

ya know I know it sounds funny but an a mental issue? I had a friend whos cat had to be put on prozac because she would lick herself raw!

Eek, poor kitty cat. Looks like she needs to see the vet. They would definitely know and be able to help her.

Whew...we aren't the only ones with a cat missing fur. Our cat has fur missing on his back. Been that way for years---doesn't seem to bother him so I just leave it be. Sometimes it fills in a bit and I think its getting better, but then it starts to go away again. I think it could be stress or maybe just age. If the cat is scratching that area a lot I would say it is allergies. Let us know if you figure it out.

We had one cat that had missing fur and it was a stress thing where she licked herself constantly. Somehow that went away. Our other cat lost fur and weight and it turned out to be diabetes.
Have you noticed her licking more than usual.
