I have a little confession to make. I'm kind of obsessed with Meryl Streep. Not only is she an amazing actress, but I've been told a bazillion times that she resembles me ... or I supposed it's the other way around -- it's all in the cheekbones!
If there's a new movie staring Mrs. Streep, it's on my list to see. And with her talent, you can guarantee it's going to be great! That's why I'm so excited about Disney Pictures' INTO THE WOODS — a humorous and heartfelt musical that follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, tied together by an original story involving a baker, his wife, and their wish to begin a family. There's also a witch in there, too 😉
Here's a peek at the trailer for INTO THE WOODS.
There are some major musical talent in this film, beyond the Witch who's played by Meryll Streep — Anna Kendrick is Cinderella, Lilla Crawford is Little Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone is Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk , and MacKenzie Mauzy is Rapunzel.
Rob Marshall, the acclaimed filmmaker behind the Academy Award®-winning musical “Chicago” and Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” directs the film, which is based on the Tony®-winning original musical by James Lapine.
INTO THE WOODS opens in theaters everywhere on December 25th!
