Isn't that view breathtaking?
It is one of my dreams to take my family on an Alaskan cruise (I have a lot of dreams!). Alaska is significant because my husband spent many summers there visiting his grandparents as a child. I think he would love to go back and bring our daughter to reminisce on those days. An Alaskan family cruise is absolutely the best way to experience the beauty of the state in a short amount of time.
Disney Cruise Line is currently sailing its first season to Alaska. The photo above is of the Disney Wonder sailing through Tracy Arm Fjord on the inaugural cruise.
The Disney Wonder will continue seven-night sailings to Alaska through September 6, 2011. Itineraries begin and end in Vancouver, with stops at Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.
I sailed the Disney Dream earlier this year, and I have to say, Disney Cruise Line is an excellent choice for families wishing to cruise with small children-- The childcare and on-board activities are second to none.
