This is the second year in a row that I missed the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival in Miami ... and I'm still really bummed about it. As always, the Amstel Light Burger Bash was one of the festival's most talked about events, with Michael Symon taking the title of best burger for the third year in a row.
Michael Symon's Pork Burger wasn't the only winner of the night though. Guy Fieri's Straight‐Up With a Pig Patty --which is currently served on the Carnival Liberty at Guy's Burger Joint-- won the Heinz Best-Dressed Burger.
The coolest thing about this is that even though I missed SOBEWFF, I've had my share of Guy's Burgers on the Carnival Liberty, including the Straight-Up with a Pig Patty, and I can vouch that they are one of the best burgers anywhere! When it comes to dressing your burger at Guy's Burger Joint, Carnival Cruise Lines leaves that up to you with a mix-and-match toppings bar-- where the possibilities are endless!
It should be no surprise that upwards of 1,000 burgers are consumed by hungry Carnival Liberty guests each day 🙂
Guy’s Burger Joint debuted on the Carnival Liberty with its recent Fun Ship 2.0 Enhancements and will be introduced on several Carnival ships over the next few years, beginning with the Carnival Breeze this summer.

I love burgers so much, especially big fire grilled restaurant burgers. I wish I could have attended that event and tried some of these award winning burgers. Just that first picture makes my mouth water- that patty, that light bun, those giant steak fries!
I did not know that Guy Fieri had a burger joint on Carnival Liberty; that is really interesting. But what is his dressing that won the award? I mean, I'm sure he won't share how to make it, but at least what is it called or what is it reminiscent to so I know what kind of flavors are involved.

That's one good looking burger!
