Love the Dole Whip at the Disney Parks? Then try this Orange Dole Whip recipe that you can easily make at home! It's the perfect summertime treat!

Orange Dole Whip

Orange Dole Whip

My daughter recently mentioned that it has been FOREVER since we’ve made frozen treats. Even in Florida, where it doesn’t get particularly cold in the winter, I avoid making frozen desserts because the timing just doesn’t feel right. Weird, I know. But now that summer is on the way… Icy cold treats are on! And one of our all-time favorite frozen treats is our version of an Orange Dole Whip.

You’ve probably heard of the Dole Whip because of its popularity at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, and the other Disney Parks. The classic Dole Whip flavor is pineapple, but a copycat version can easily be made at home with other delicious flavors, including citrus orange— which reminds us of the beautiful Sunshine State!

The best thing about Dole Whips is how easy they are to make. For an Orange Dole Whip, you only need 3 ingredients + ice and about 15 minutes!

How to Make Dole Whip

1. Add orange juice concentrate to a blender. Pulse until it becomes an icy liquid.

2. Add Cool Whip, honey, and 3 cups ice. Blend until smooth.

3. Continue to add ice 1 cup at a time until desired consistency is achieved. We like ours super thick and creamy! Serve immediately.

Tip: This orange whip recipe makes quite a few servings— anything leftover I pour into a Ziploc bag and freeze. When you’re ready to serve again, just let the bag sit on the counter for a few minutes to defrost, and then cut one of the corners of the bag to “swirl” into a glass. It's EASY and DELICIOUS.

How to Make Dole Whip Float

If you want to make your Dole Whip into a Dole Whip float, you'll want to make sure that your Dole Whip is super chilled. For an Orange Dole Whip Float, scoop orange Dole whip into a tall glass and top with orange juice. Serve with a straw and spoon!

How to Make a Citrus Swirl

You can make your own Citrus Swirl by layering the Orange Whip with vanilla ice cream or gelato.
