Port Canaveral Cruise Parking

Next weekend, my family and I will be driving to Port Canaveral to board the Carnival Dream for a week-long cruise. Since we live within 3 hours of the port, we will be driving and parking the same day the ship leaves. I’ve been doing a little research online and have found that there are three standout choices for cruise parking at Port Canaveral.

Cruise Terminal Parking at the Port ($15/day) – This is the absolute closest parking you can get as it is right at the cruise terminal, and it’s managed by the Port Authority. It is also the most expensive at $15 a day, or $105 a week. The upside is the parking is paved and it is under 24-hour surveillance. No reservations are required for parking; you just drive up the day of your cruise. If I wasn’t counting my pennies, this would be my first choice for the convenience.

Park Port Canaveral at the Radisson ($7.99/day) – The Radisson “Resort at the Port” recently opened parking spaces to non-resort guests for $5.95 a day with an online reservation. This particular Radisson is the most popular for “stay ‘n cruise” packages from Port Canaveral. Reservations are accepted online (though not required) and you must print the coupon for the discounted rate. Air-conditioned shuttles will drop off and pick up at the port. The downside is the shuttles– and the Radisson– are a madhouse on embarkation day.

Park N Cruise ($10.95/day) – The main competitor of the Radisson parking is Park N Cruise, which also offers parking at $10,95 per day with an online reservation. Parking here is remote and not connected to any other business. Complimentary shuttles drop-offร‚ย and pickup from the port, which is approximately 5 minutes away. Park N Cruise gets good reviews from its Facebook fan page and shuttles will probably be less crowded.

These parking options will work with any cruise line sailing from Port Canaveral, including: Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Line.

I have yet to decided which option I am going with, but it will definitely be between parking at the Radisson and Park N Cruise– you just can’t beat a weeks worth of parking for under $60!

Check out my review of Park Port Canaveral at the Radisson!
