I’ve been using the cold water cycle on my washer before it was “cool”. But with my new Bravos XL washer from Maytag, the cold wash cycle is more than just an energy saver; it cleans my clothing better than ever with extra deep cleaning actions and a slow motion soak. What’s even more awesome is that I can wash up to 21 towels in a single load — all in cold water — which saves me the time of doing multiple loads of laundry, and money on my electricity bill. It’s a win-win all around.
Now that I own the Maytag Bravos XL washer/dryer pair, I’m beginning to understand what they mean about “dependability”. I mentioned my old W/D set was a junker, meaning it was a gamble if my clothes would come out clean, or not. Sometimes there were holes in my clothing, I’m guessing from a harsh washer or dryer cycle, and other times odd grey spots would appear. I’ve had no such problems with this Maytag set, as every piece of laundry has come out clean and smelling great!
I’ve experimented with different cycles on the Bravos XL, and for most clothing I use the cold water wash for the reasons mentioned above. I use the Allergen Cycle (with hot water) on our sheets, because our cats tend to lay on them. I’ve found that there’s a cycle for every article of laundry I own, and I love that. Laundry has been less of a chore as I’m doing less loads because of the 4.6 cu. ft capacity of the washer, and the 7.3 cu. ft. capacity of the dryer.
One of my favorite features of the Bravos XL dyer is the Advanced Moisture Sensing, which saves money by drying towels, sheets and articles of clothing evenly, without over-drying. This prevents clothes from shrinking, too!
I will be sharing more about my Maytag Bravos XL washer & dryer over the next 2 months – please follow myself, along with the other #MaytagMoms, and don’t hesitate to ask any questions. You can also follow Maytag on Facebook & Twitter to keep up-to-date with the latest happenings.
I wrote this post participating in an Maytag Moms Dependable Laundry Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with the Maytag washer and dryer set to facilitate my post. All opinions are my own.
