I decided to add a little flare of fun to my holiday table decorating tools by making these easy wreath napkin rings holiday craft!
To be honest, I am not the queen of table-scaping (is that what it's called? it should be). I have a handful of matching plates that I love, a few pretty decorations and some ratty old napkins with beaten metal napkin rings that have seen so many better days before I picked them up at the thrift store 10 years ago.
Sad, I know, but I just haven't put a lot of time and effort into table decorating for holidays before. I want to change that this year.
I'm tackling each thing in turn and made these easy grapevine wreath napkin rings for Christmas table decor.
Easy Wreath Napkin Rings Holiday Craft
But you're not stuck with just making these little napkin rings into, well, napkin rings. I mean, I absolutely respect it if you already have napkin rings you love or you've got a thing about not using napkin rings.
No, do not let your hang-ups on fancy rings to hold napkins in a roll stop you from making this fun holiday craft.
These little holly-decorated grapevine wreaths are perfect for so much more than just the utilitarian napkin ring.
You can use these to make a little garland just by stringing them on, well, a string. Or you can glue them side-by-side in a circle to make a much larger wreath (that sounds cool). There's seriously so many different ideas.
Me, though, for now, I'm replacing my boring holiday table decor and working toward a whole farmhouse table decoration plan.
If you're with me on this and ready to make your own wreath napkin rings, let's get making!
What You Need to Make These Easy Wreath Napkin Rings Holiday Craft
- 6 mini-wreaths
- Sprig fake cranberries
- Floral wire, optional
- Scissors or pliers
How to Make These Easy Wreath Napkin Rings Holiday Craft
- Cut several 4-6" pieces of cranberries on sprigs and arrange on your wreaths until you achieve the design you'd like. Try to keep the berries out the outmost edge of the wreaths as much as you can so they make the biggest impact when in use.
- Wind each sprig of cranberry into and through the wreath to secure. Use floral wire to help secure, if needed - but try to avoid this if you have delicate linens that the napkin holders will be holding (as it can cause tears).
NOTE: If you don't have mini-wreaths available where you live, you can twist grapevines together and twist floral wire around at three points to make into a mini-wreath. Use a mason jar lid to help guide you.
