The kids have been hounding me for Christmas Mickey Cinnamon Rolls since we made our Halloween themed ones not too long ago. And this recipe is so easy, it's definitely worth it!
When I first made my Halloween Mickey Cinnamon Rolls, I had no idea how popular they'd be in our family. The kids love this special celebration of their favorite mouse and they love cinnamon rolls. It's a match made in heaven.
Mickey Cinnamon Rolls
Because these cinnamon buns use the pre-made, canned dough, they come together in just a few minutes. That’s just perfect for a weekday breakfast or a lazy weekend morning where I don't want to spend a ton of time making something.
Christmas Mickey Cinnamon Rolls are made with just two ingredients (the can of cinnamon rolls with icing and sprinkles), and they are easy enough for that your Disney-loving kiddos can help, too. Even if you work super slow, you can have these cinnamon rolls ready to serve, start to finish, in less than 30 minutes!
And because you're making these easy Mickey Mouse cinnamon rolls with such an easy method, it gives you a lot of options for decorating.
I went with some pretty standard Mickey sprinkles, but you could go with some pretty blue and gold sprinkles mix, a super bright and colorful sprinkle mix or anything!
What You Need to Make Mickey Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 can Cinnamon Rolls with Icing
- Mickey Mouse Inspired Sprinkles
How to Make Mickey Cinnamon Rolls
- Preheat your oven to the temperature required on the can of cinnamon rolls and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Open the can of cinnamon rolls and remove all of the cinnamon rolls and icing from the can, placing the cinnamon rolls onto the lined baking sheet, spread apart.
- Unroll one of the cinnamon rolls and cut it in half.
- Re-roll each half of the cut cinnamon roll and press each newly rolled mini-cinnamon roll onto either side of a whole large cinnamon roll. Make sure the smaller cinnamon rolls are pressed firmly against the side of the larger cinnamon roll so they bake together.
- Repeat cutting cinnamon rolls and adding ears until all of the cinnamon rolls have had ears added.
- Bake per the directions on the can of cinnamon rolls.
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with the icing and sprinkle with the Mickey Mouse sprinkles then serve!
And that's all there is to it! Isn't this just a fabulously simple breakfast recipe?! I love it.
