Breakfast Pizza
Back to school is a hectic time of year. Even though we're now weeks into the school year, it seems that we're always running out the door and just barely making it to school on time. I personally hate it.
Being rushed takes the fun out of the morning, where we usually laugh while getting ready for our day and enjoy a yummy breakfast together as a family— these are precious moments and I want to make the most of them!
Of course, for reasons of time, I don't have the option of making big breakfasts from scratch, but I do want to serve my family FUN & CREATIVE meals to help inspire their day. That's why I came up with a delicious Breakfast Pizza Recipe featuring Gwaltney Hardwood Smoked Bacon!
We love Gwaltney Hardwood Smoked Bacon because it's premium sliced with a fantastic smoky flavor.
With just a few simple breakfast staples and store-bought pizza crust, you can have an amazing breakfast ready for your family in about 30 minutes (most of that is oven cooking time).
And because it's a pizza with slices, if you're running late, you can take it with you on-the-go... but I recommend sitting down and enjoying this breakfast pizza together as a family.
Breakfast Pizza Recipe
Breakfast Pizza Ingredients:
- Two (2) 6-inch pre-made pizza crusts (1 12-inch crust may also be used)
- 1 lb Smoked Bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 10 oz frozen hash browns thawed
- ½ cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup of shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
- 3 eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
Tip: If you're low on time, the bacon can be pre-cooked and crumbled, so you only need to assemble the pizzas before baking.
How to Make Breakfast Pizza
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Sprinkle hash browns over pizza crust.
3. Add crumbled bacon.
4. Mix together eggs, salt and pepper.
5. Pour over the other ingredients evenly.
6. Top with cheese mixture.
7. Cook 20 minutes or until eggs are completely set.
This breakfast pizza recipe is great because it's so easy that you can get your kids involved with cooking!
