Hosting a holiday party and want a festive alcoholic beverage? This homemade Candy Cane Moonshine recipe will do the trick!

candy cane moonshine recipe

Made with everclear, this peppermint candy cane flavored alcoholic beverage will pack a punch at your next holiday party. If you want a less potent version, you can sub vodka for the everclear. It's best if the mixture is left in the fridge for a week for the flavors to infuse, but in a pinch, you can serve after a day or two.

Serve candy cane moonshine chilled as a shot, as a martini with a candy cane garnish, or even mixed with hot chocolate.

    5 stars
Normally my stomach gets upset while drinking but I'm thinking the peppermint could help ease that. LOL , what a fun gift idea and a hostess gift. Love it.

How do you make the simple syrup and the peppermint syrup for the candy cane moonshine?

If this helps, for the simple syrup, I used equal parts sugar and water combined over a stove until boiling or until the sugar has cleared. Let it cool completely before mixing it into the alcohol. For the peppermint syrup I used Torani’s peppermint syrup which you can find on Amazon if you can’t find any locally.

Ok confused. 16 oz mason jars with 1cup of ever clear only 8oz. That leaves 8oz Shouldn’t be 2cups..

The recipe is for 8 ounce jars, but you can divide this into only 2 16oz jars if you prefer.
