Keep your skin soft and glowing throughout the year with this DIY Margarita Salt Scrub. This simple salt scrub recipe is perfect for gift-giving, too! Make several batches of this refreshing homemade lime salt scrub recipe for bridal showers, spa days or for whenever you need a pick-me-up.
Since I've discovered how easy it is to make homemade sugar and salt scrubs at home, I have been experimenting with new combinations of scents for every season.
One of my newest scrub discoveries is modeled after my favorite adult beverage— Margaritas!
Yep, I've figured out a way to keep my skin glowing while smelling like fresh lime and sea salt. It's an absolutely invigorating blend that will keep you in the mood for summer all year long.
Now, I did create a batch with tequila because it's a natural antiseptic (and awesome!)— but you could totally omit it from the salt scrub recipe below if desired. Another idea that might be fun, if making these for gifts, is to give each jar of scrub with a miniature bottle of tequila. Then your recipients can decide what to do with it 😉
There are two color options for this homemade lime salt scrub recipe: Add green food coloring for the full lime margarita effect, or make the scrub without coloring, leaving the natural salt scrub coloring with specks of lime zest. The choice is yours!

This scrub looks really nice. Thank you for posting it. I use Himalayan salt for cooking so I am definitely going to try this scrub with this salt. I have heard that it has so many benefits for the skin and body. Even I have purchased Himalayan salt lamp as well.
