Next Stop, Disney Fantasy!

I’m getting just a little excited! This time tomorrow, my family will be onboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Fantasy, for a 3-night media preview cruise. It’s been a year since we sailed DCL for the first time, covering the Fantasy’s sister ship– the Disney Dream.

My agenda this week includes multiple ship tours, a day at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, and dinner at Palo, one of the two adult’s only dining options, and a visit to the Rainforest Room at Senses Spa.

But, the big question is: What’s new on the Disney Fantasy?

While a few favorites have returned (ahem.. the AquaDuck!), the Disney Fantasy is a ship all her own.

Here’s a peek at some of the new spaces on the Disney Fantasy:

NEW! AquaLab Water Play Area – Families can frolic among pop jets, geysers and bubblers in this fun and fanciful 1,800-square-foot space near the entrance to the AquaDuck water coaster on deck 12.

NEW! Europa – Nightlife takes a European twist with Europa – an entertainment district of five, high-energy, sophisticated clubs and lounges inspired by the nightspots of Italy, France, Ireland and London.

NEW! Muppets Adventure Game – “The Case of the Stolen Show” is an interactive adventure quest around the Disney Fantasy, where guests uncover clues via more than a dozen pieces of Enchanted Art and physical “evidence.”

NEW! “Animation Magic” at Animator’s Palate – Animator’s Palate on the Disney Fantasy brings the magic of Disney animation into the dining room with a new show called “Animation Magic.” The dinner show celebrates the magic of Disney animation and allows families to create and participate in a whole new way.

NEW! Two Broadway-style Stage Shows – “Wishes”, a 45-minute musical journey about three best friends who discover the secret to being a grown-up is staying connected to their inner child and “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular”, a fast-paced musical comedy where Aladdin, the “street rat” of Agrabah, meets a Genie who grants him three wishes, battles the evil Jafar and falls in love with Princess Jasmine.

NEW! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – Aspiring young princesses and pirates receive the full fairy tale treatment with pixie-dusted and piratical makeovers at this very special salon.

And, I’m pretty sure this is just the beginning of what the Disney Fantasy has in store for me!
